Having holiday in Sabah for almost 1 month; from 8th September till 30th September.
Staying in Shangri-La Hotel for 1 night on the 8th September before going back to Kudat for our Raya celebration.

'Sahur' meal in Shangri-La Hotel was not that perfect at all. It isn't a buffet meal. It's alrite, because when I read the voucher, it says that we can choose our own meal. Mana tahu, the receptionist didn't even ask which meal we want. Bikin gua blur!

BIL came around 10.30 a.m. and we reached Kudat around 2 something. As usual Kudat weather were very hot. People in the house were busy preparing for Raya tomorrow!

Kuih-muih for Raya

It is my first Raya in Kudat. Nothing much happened at all. In the morning, we 'bersalam-salaman' for forgiveness I think. Around 2 p.m., we went visiting to I-dunno-whose house. We were served with 'kerapu panggang'. Expensive fish ok! But in Kudat, you can buy any type of fishes with reasonable prices. After that, we went to 2nd SIL's house. SIL and her husband rares gecko. My very first time seeing gecko. Kinda 'geli' la. Gecko is also known as 'tokek'. From what I've heard, gecko is used to cure HIV. Gecko can be sold for over 60 thousand RM if their weight is over 300g. For more information, please GOOGLE. :)

It is second day of Raya. Woke up early today to get ready to go visiting in FIL's kampung in Pitas. It took 2 and a half hour to reach there. We were planned to use 2 cars to Pitas but 1 of our car has condemned. End up only FIL, MIL, hubby, Daniel, and I going to Pitas. The rest just stayed at home. Pity... When we reached Pitas, we stop by at the graveyard to pay a visit to my hubby's late grandmother. My very 1st experience stepping on Muslim graveyards. After that, we went visiting. We reached Kudat around 10p.m. It was a very tiring day.

Daniel's appetite were not very good. Maybe he were just too tired.

In the afternoon, MIL, little SIL, hubby, Daniel and I went visiting to MIL's kampung in Sikuati. It took us 20-30 minutes to reach there. There is a lot of fruit plants around that area. Sugarcane, coconuts, papayas, guavas, and etc. Also, the weather at Sikuati is cooler. Hehe.

At the funfair in Kudat.

Went to Fun Fair after we had our dinner in KFC, as hubby had promised the kids; little SIL, his nephew and niece to the fun fair since weeks ago. We did won a lot of prizes. Kudat's fun fair all I can say is... erm... there's no choices of games because most of the games were throwing darts. Boring la like that.


In Malay, we called Buah Seri Kaya. Any idea what it is called in English? It was my first time eating this fruit and it tasted like sour sop.

Went to have our lunch in Golf Club, Kudat with the whole family. Eating there is worthless because the price were not cheap. After our lunch, we decided to go to the Mini Zoo in Kudat. It took us 30 minutes to reach there.

Went to KK around 11a.m. this morning since our flight to Bintulu is on the 30th. So, we can spend 2 days in KK to shops our things. 2 cars were convoying to KK because little SIL has an appointment at the hospital. Checked in at Century Hotel for 2 nights 3 days.

New sandals

A walking doll for Daniel.

Family in laws were going back today. So, only left hubby, Daniel, and I. We decided to try the seafood at Sri Kampung Air. Before that, we went to Karamunsing Plaza to have a look. We thought of walking but we had to take a cab to there because it was raining heavily. It cost us rm10. I bought a blouse in R&R at Karamunsing Plaza. Hubby bought a shirt from R&R too.

Cangkuk Manis. Do you realize it doesn't have leaves? Yes! I was surprised to see it at first. Cangkuk manis from Sabah memang don't have leaves and I dunno why.

Checked out from the hotel room around 11.30a.m. Reached KKIA around 12p.m. Our flight was 2.55p.m. So, we waited for about 2 hours there. I had my last and first Mc'd this year in KKIA. Nyum... Mc'd burger is always the best.
